Strength & Serenity Bodywork

Learn about my journey into the healing art of massage and movement.

Hi, I’m Kaylyn Dart.

“Engaging in strength training became one of the best decisions I ever made for my well-being. Having built a strong foundation, I faced a freak accident that highlighted the importance of physical strength; my strong bones truly saved my life.”

I'm originally from Santa Ana, California, near the beautiful southern coast, but I currently enjoy a slower pace of life in lovely Eugene, Oregon. Throughout my time in the service in the Marine Corps, I developed a deep passion for training hard. My primary goal was to build strength and size, and this mentality served me well. Engaging in strength training became one of the best decisions I ever made for my well-being.

Having built a strong foundation, I faced a freak accident that highlighted the importance of physical strength; my strong bones truly saved my life. I broke my pelvis in two places and experienced a head injury after I got run over by a car, twice, in another country and survived somehow.. muscle mass and bone density. And God’s grace.

Being an active and physically strong woman has allowed me to have the strength in times of need, not to mention tackle numerous solo moving trips—although I wouldn't necessarily recommend that! Increasing muscle mass and improving bone density will help us age with a lower likelihood of numerous ailments.

After my accident, I became more aware of soft tissue issues and their impact on overall movement. I became NASM certified in Personal Training and Corrective Exercise. This led me to explore massage therapy a few years ago; allowing me to further enhance my knowledge, slow down as a service provider and adopt a more intuitive, hands-on approach. I find immense joy in helping others move and feel well in their bodies by helping foster greater body awareness and aid in alleviating discomfort.

By cultivating awareness and connection in our breath, tissues, joints, and muscles through both exercise and strength training, as well as rest, rejuvenation, and recovery, we can achieve greater overall well-being.
